The role

As part of our continued growth the opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and proactive individual to join our Supply Chain Team. The Supply Chain Co-ordinator is responsible for end-to-end freight management and requires a candidate that has excellent attention to detail, communication skills and a pro-active approach.

This is a permanent, full time position based in Ashby-de-la-zouch. Part time hours would be considered on an individual basis.

Experience with end-to-end freight management would be beneficial.

Duties of the Supply Chain Co-ordinator

  • Build good working relationships with suppliers, transport and warehouse providers and colleagues
  • Instruct hauliers to ensure the timely and accurate collection and delivery of goods, maintaining regular communication and obtaining progress updates as required.
  • Completing Import/Export customs entries
  • Liaise with suppliers, transport and warehouse providers and others to obtain information, ensuring that procedures are followed
  • Manage stocks in terms of goods receipts, adjustments and transfers as required, raising cases as appropriate.
  • Managing purchase orders, ensuring accuracy levels are maintained
  • Deal with all queries quickly and efficiently
  • General office administration (e.g. filing/ record keeping)
  • Provide cover for members of the Supply Chain team as required
  • Work in close collaboration with the Product Group team to ensure material is available when required.
  • Work closely with other departments across the business


The Supply Chain Co-ordinator candidate will need experience in and the following areas:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with the general running of the sales teams and help co-ordinate activities relating to the following:
  • Accepting, processing and invoicing sales orders.
  • Providing support to the credit control function, including contacting customers to progress payment, preparation for area credit meetings, and, where appropriate, liaising with management to resolve issues.
  • Liaising with the transport team.
  • Liaising with the product teams with regard to material purchases, stockholding and colour compound requirements.
  • Update files and records supporting the internal and external teams to maintain Netsuite system.
  • Provide support to the Area Sales team and work to improve customer relations and systems in support of the business.
  • Liaise with customers with regard to sales orders, deliveries and complaints.
  • Contribute to the effectiveness of the quality management system
  • Assist with quotations, samples and market information into given systems (including Netsuite and CRM).This includes logging samples sent to customers.
  • Be flexible in respect of the company’s needs where necessary,providing cover for absent colleagues and providing training for new members of staff.
  • Work to improve knowledge of the company’s products.
  • Report the occurrence of any non-conformance through CRM, using Cases.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
  • Occasional company travel may be required.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work in conjunction with the Account Manager and Customer Service Representative (the team) to implement actions to grow the sales volume and profitability in the assigned sales area. This will involve regular meetings with the team and Sales Managers to agree a relevant strategy for the forthcoming weeks.
  • Manage and develop sales within accounts by proactively contacting them to gain repeat orders and uncover new leads.
  • Process sales orders through Netsuite.
  • Analyse market data to ensure a constant supply of new leads for the team to evaluate.
  • Contact potential new customers and find out key contact information and introduce to Plastribution.
  • Enter all quotations, samples and market information into CRM and liaise with other members of the team, Product Managers and the Sales Managers to follow these through to their ultimate conclusion.
  • Report on the area’s sales results at the end of each month and discuss these results within sales meetings and whenever required.
  • Supervise the completion of customer sales analysis throughout the course of the month.
  • Assess the credit-worthiness of companies contacted and make justifications to the Credit Control department.
  • Provide support to the Credit Control function, including contacting customers to progress payment, preparation for area credit meetings, and, where appropriate, liaising with management to resolve issues.
  • Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times.
  • Keep all corporate, financial and sales information records and comments confidential.
  • Report the occurrence of any non-conformances.
  • Be flexible in respect of Company needs and assist others where necessary.
