Role Description
|
To assist in the smooth running and growth of Product Group, liaising with our suppliers, operations, finance and Thermoplastics sales teams.
|
Duties
|
- Assist the Product Managers and Product Supervisors where required to maximise the performance of the Thermoplastic Product Group(s).
- Regularly review stock levels, taking appropriate action in conjunction with the Product Supervisors and Product Managers to ensure that stocks are well managed (E.g. raising requisitions, managing old stock, etc.)
- Raise and maintain Purchase Requisitions / Purchase order records on Netsuite and supplier portals ensuring an appropriate level of accuracy.
- Proactively follow up with supplier partners to secure order confirmations, working in close collaboration with the Supply Chain team to ensure material is available when required
- Ensure that all order documentation is filed within Netsuite as required
- Build and maintain relationships both internally and externally, ensuring that information is shared quickly, efficiently and accurately.
- Liaise with the Sales teams regarding samples, availability, lead times, prices, quotations, market information and general enquiries
- Liaise with suppliers as required regarding price, availability, shipping, and general enquiries for materials.
- Assist with the generation/preparation of monthly figures/business report.
- Assist with the generation/preparation of monthly price lists.
- Assist with the preparation of supplier forecasts and reports.
- Assist with business forecasting and budgeting where requested.
- Report the occurrence of any non-conformance and raise cases as required.
- Support the company’s quality management systems and ensure the speedy resolution of any supplier quality issues or stock discrepancies where appropriate.
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain/Product Group team to continuously improve the performance and practices of the department.
- Utilise CRM to maximise its potential ensuring all Supplier records are maintained.
- Provide cover for Product Supervisors as required
- Participate in Company Continuous Improvement Projects as requested.
- Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times.
- Keep all corporate, financial, supplier and sales information records and comments confidential.
- Be flexible in respect of Company needs and assist others where necessary.

Experience/Qualifications Required
|
Good numeracy and literacy skills.
Proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.
Friendly, persuasive, thorough, accurate, methodical, persistent, influential, asks “who”, “why” and “how”.
